I like it - it's like being in a John Lewis Christmas card - I've certainly seen worse Christmas themes on forums.

The real question is who is going to turn the lights on?

Ummm... No. It's too busy and distracting.

The snow effect in the header image is giving me eyestrain and a stonking headache :(

Please go back to the default skin.

The reason I'm not crazy about it is the resultant narrowing of the board 'proper'.
Imagine I'll/we'll get used to it by the time it's served its festive purpose.
But Hell, it's Xmas. Why not have a bit of temporary graphic yulery? :)

Thats exactly the idea, its Xmas time and its only for a month.

The narrowing thing is a bummer, but the other Xmas styles are crap.

Cheers, Surfer. :)
You could always narrow the board just a bit to allow the background scene to be slightly more visible along the sides, if too much of the xmas scene is covered up now. Either way, thanks ;)

It's nice, just so long as we can go back to the original skin after Christmas and not that black and yellow monstrosity which appeared briefly last night  :D Agreed, the wider length is preferable with the normal skin, but it doesn't really work with this one because we can't see the picture :?

Im sure Surfer will have another fiddle with it at some stage, but as it was a pain in the arse to make wider, he may not be keen for a day or two.

And yes, its only for Xmas, it will go back to normal after.

And Mick, saying you wont come on here until its changed back to normal, then signing in as invisible wont work, because I see everybody!

It is a nice background picture - like Christmas cards used to be before fat little penguins in Santa hats and reindeer with noses like radioactive tomatoes took over.

I quite like it - it's cheery and festive without being garish.

The only slight problem occurs when those roll-over adverts appear at the bottom of the screen, which makes the board look cluttered with this skin.

I voted NO because it is slugging the processor on my PC. For those with a multi core PC then I'm sure the effect is not nearly so noticeable however those of us with a single processor really feel the impact of this "skin". I used "skin" because it seems more of a background with skin'd forum overlaid on top.

Nice picture, but those popups at the foot of the screen are annoying so, a qualified "bah - humbug" from me!
