Yeah the teams are replacing the final testing session at bahrain with another 4 day test session at the Barcalona circuit. Thou once again Red Bull and Ferrari look the teams to beat with the awesome looking Mcclaren a bit of a mystery sandbagging or just pants i don't know

The thing with testing is you dont know how much fuel people are carrying or if they have left stuff off the car, I now McLaren said at the cars launch that a lot of the car you see is fake, they have left off loads of bits so other teams dont see it until first race.

Why are all sports run by senile old farts? Blatter at FIFA, Platini at UEFA and Bernie in F1, he wants fake rain at GP's!

Just hold them all in Britain mate!

I wonder where he will stand if they use artificial rain and someone crashes and dies as a result?

HRT should be kicked out the sport, they wouldnt be any slower if they were running a pedal car.

Well HRT are such a poor funded, poorly run team that they didnt get the car built in time and the first time it took to the track was Melbourne free practice, no winter testing at all. Ferrari did 5000km of testing, more distance than a car will travel during an entire F1 season(mind you, they were almost as shit as HRT!)

They are lucky they get out of the pitlane without something breaking mind you during the malysian gp Trulli from lotus came straight out the pits and straight off

Sergio Perez's accident was pretty horrible at Monaco.

Shows the strength of the cars though. There was an even bigger accident in the practice for the Indy 500 and the driver walked away.

Note the bit at the bottom about the programme not being available on the iPlayer thingie whatever that is.

The BBC are considering dropping F1 due to it costing £3m per weekend. They are also considering dropping Wimbledon, all to save money so they can keep their digital channels going. All this, after the previous government protected certain sporting events from being poached by Sky, so they could be viewed by the masses.

Cock. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 550930.stm

The BBC have only signed up to broadcast half the races live +highlights of the others for next year, with Sky taking the live rights to all races. To say I'm not amused doesn't even come close.

What really worries me is that this will ineviably lead to a reduction in the quality of the BBC broadcasts, as the pundits and possibly Ted Kravitz, Lee Mckenzie, etc. are likely to recieve offers to move to Sky (I guess it depends on whether the BBC have any presence at all at the races they're not showing live.)

Honestly, can't people see that the BBC will cease to be a fantasic broadcaster and end up derided like the American public broadcasters if the diversity of it's output continues to be cut?

I have to say, nobody does F1 like the Beeb, it just doesnt work with ad breaks, making it a poor choice for ITV or Sky

Martin Brundle: "DC, who do you think the 7 drivers will be ahead of us in the Job Centre queue next year?"

Gotta love Martin's sense of humour

Yes Tom, I heard them say on SSN that it would be uninterupted, would be ok if its true.

A mate who works at Sky tells me initial ideas are for the old A1GP crew to do the F1 show, Georgie Thompson presenting with Tony Jardine as the studio expert.

Eurgh Tony Jardine. :(

Whoever does it, whether it's the wonderful Georgie or anyone else, I'll still be watching it on the Beeb when the races are on there.

Just appalling news. I ahve yet another reason to hate Sky now, as if I didn't have enough already.

My concern is that the Beeb highlights will be a good couple of hours after the race, which frankly sucks. Fortunately, there's plenty of *cough* live streams out there. That coupled with Crofty and Davidson on Five Live should get me through.
