Martin Brundle: "DC, who do you think the 7 drivers will be ahead of us in the Job Centre queue next year?"

Gotta love Martin's sense of humour

Yes Tom, I heard them say on SSN that it would be uninterupted, would be ok if its true.

A mate who works at Sky tells me initial ideas are for the old A1GP crew to do the F1 show, Georgie Thompson presenting with Tony Jardine as the studio expert.

Eurgh Tony Jardine. :(

Whoever does it, whether it's the wonderful Georgie or anyone else, I'll still be watching it on the Beeb when the races are on there.

Just appalling news. I ahve yet another reason to hate Sky now, as if I didn't have enough already.

My concern is that the Beeb highlights will be a good couple of hours after the race, which frankly sucks. Fortunately, there's plenty of *cough* live streams out there. That coupled with Crofty and Davidson on Five Live should get me through.

Sky are launching a channel in MArch solely for F1 coverage, and as was previously mentioned, the races will be completeky uninterupted.

I have some bad news... Crofty has almost certainly jumped ship to $ky to partner up with Brundle. Ted is going too.

$ky are indeed launching a dedicated F1 channel - in HD no less ...but you do of course need $ky to watch it. This isn't an option to me. Yes, auntie has live coverage of some races next year; the problem is they're almost all the crap ones. I just wish the Beeb would fess up and admit that their coverage will not be 'amazing' next year, they seem to be the only ones with that delusion.

I was surprised Lee McKenzie stayed on with the BBC, but she used to be at Sky and left to join the Beeb, so may not be wanted back.

I dont think Ill get the new channel as Im on Virgin with the Sky Sports package and I think you actually have to have Sky.

I've had email from Sky & they are gonna be showing all the sessions live uninterrupted with red button service availible to access other features & the channel is gonna be added to your package free of charge but you need to have Sky Sports HD1 & HD2 to get it free.

Doesn't however state what the charge would be if your not a Sky Sports subscriber or the date that channel goes live in March.

Sky have sort of announced their F1 team. It would seem the BBC is left with Jake, DC, Eddie and Lee. Even Ant Davidson is off to co-comentate with Crofty for practice sessions! I have a horrid feeling that Legard may reappear on 5Live, thus ending my hopes of BBC radio coverage.

Rather a classy move by Sky to announce a co-presenter with an alcohol-related driving ban for the crown FIA sport; what with the huge FIA road safety campaign and all.

I'll save the tirade of expletives bouncing around my head for somewhere else...

Yes how dare a convicted criminal advance their career in anyway. Sky have picked the people they think best for the job. A drviving/alcohol related offence isn't great on any C.V, but it's hardly murder or such like.

If you mean Miss Thompson, she isnt doing the actual F1 coverage, she is presenting a magazine style F1 show during the week.

Sky taking a wise decision to take some of BBC's f1 team as they know they moreless best to front Sky's F1 coverage I can't see BBC's new F1 coverage team being as good but will be intersting to see who replaces those that left to join Sky.

Me to, there is an official Twitter for the F1 channel and its the most popular question they get asked, and they announced today its been sorted and there are details on the VM website.

VM are also doubling everyones broadband speed at no extra cost, so a good day all round.
