XP not supported for some time now. I only got Windoze 10 because I had to have a new PC and it came with 8 plus free upgrade to 10 when it became available.
I still reckon Win 7 had the best user interface

I can't even downgrade to 7 or 8.1 with this PC as Kaby Lake Intel processors don't support it.

Incidentally support for 7 ends in 2020 and 8.1 in 2023.

Pixhost down? Thumbnail links are invalid, clicking them gets ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
At 14:15 seems to be OK now - back home and connected to wi-fi so this may have been an anomaly with my phone provider's internet setup

Pixhost appears to be down or have vanished. Edge and Chrome both say the site cannot be reached. No Pixhost links work

Has pixhost deleted a load of pictures again? Some links now seem to work and others just show a page without the picture. I'm getting a bit pi$$ed off with image hosts mucking about with their service without notice. Can any images be safe any more?

Had a quick scan of my recent posts, and it appears that all my caps more than a week old have gone from pixhost, although the thumbnails are still there. I'm damned if I'm going to re-upload them, as they'll probably vanish again in a few months. Deep down I really knew this game was a waste of time and this just confirms it.

Pixhost is up, but if you're using BT, their DNS servers aren't pointing to their site.

The easiest solution is to use a VPN, but another way is to access another DNS server instead.

In Windows, you can change your settings by visiting this site and follow the instructions.

https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/b ... indows-10/

You can also change the DNS settings in your HomeHub.

https://community.bt.com/t5/Home-setup- ... -p/1226381

You should use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 which are Google's DNS servers or 1.1.1.1

For iPhone/iPad and Android users, you can download the 1.1.1.1 app from the appstore and that will change your DNS automatically. (Up to 1GB is free)

If you use the Homehub option, you won't need to change anything on your PC, phones and tablets.
