What's the yearly cost? Would you go ad free if members were effectively subscribing or would the ads subsidise the subscription fee?

I may be a cynic, but I wonder how many have actually read this thread? In the same way that people don't read notices, some don't read announcements!

I would have absolutely no objections to contributing financially to this cause.

I would have to see if I can fit it into my budget next month, but I will see what I can muster up as it would be sad to see a great forum like this get wiped off the face of the Earth as we would loose so much content.

Closing the site down would be a disaster! It has certainly helped me to get through the last 12 months of Covid-19. How much is needed to cover the cost? If it’s the estimated £50 a month then even amongst the small group of us who are willing to contribute, we can surely raise that. We commit to cover the cost for the next 12 months which would get us through the Covid-19 period, after which advertising revenues may well pick up to reduce the reliance on our personal contributions.
But to commit to that, those of us who are willing to pay, need to know how much it would be.

More than happy to contribute. It would be such a shame to see this site disappear.

I rarely post but I've been using this board for years. Both in it's current form, and in the previous one from years ago. Living in the US, this is the only place to see caps and videos from the UK. I deeply appreciate everyone's hard work here and I would hate for it to close. I voted yes and though I don't have much, I'm willing to contribute. All I need to know is how much and where to pay.

Gaz - please don't let the people who are on the fence, are too lazy to read/respond to this thread, or the people who simply don't care, spoil something that is super-valued (and relied on) by lots of decent folk who DO WANT TO SUPPORT. Please setup the Go Fund Me page - I think you'll be surprised by the response. I, for one, am extremely anxious for the opportunity to put my money where my mouth is. I may not have the time/ability to post caps, but I do have the ability to support in other ways. The community needs caps and cash - we can all bring something to the table! Please give us the opportunity to do so.

I'd suggest setting up a funding page of whatever sort is easiest and charging £2/month or £5/month and see what happens. The amount can be adjusted if it is too much or too little.

I'd be willing to contribute but it would be in Canadian Dollars, unless using PayPal for a recurring subscription style. TSC has been around for longer than most I remember and is definitely still the best IMHO.

To be honest. I certainly do not have a problem with a one off payment, 20-30 quid a year which is a bargain in my eyes. This is one of my go to sites and it would be such a shame to see it fold.

And what's the yearly cost:

With ads?
Without ads?

Would be handy to understand what you're up against here.
